Why can't it be this easy all the time??

Sewing for children is so much easier than it is sewing for an adult. Not only are the patterns smaller and usually with fewer design details, I don't worry about perfecting inside construction techniques. I just added two skirts to the Christmas gift list. I've had these two fabrics in stash for a couple of years now, the turquoise is a cotton stretch denim from DDM, the dark magenta is a luscious cotton velveteen from Fabricmart. I loved working with the velveteen, wish I had some more yardages for myself!

  1. Those turned out very cute. You've given me a great idea to sew for my 4 yo niece. She loves clothes.

  2. Thanks Sherril! Sewing little children's clothing really helps knock out fabric remnants from stash. :)
